Given the current and continuing context of COVID-19, this module introduces you to types of shocks and their impacts and provides insights on how to design and implement a social protection system responsive to such shocks. Completing this module will help you develop a more shock-resilient change programme and social protection policies and programmes in the future. 

1. Shock-Responsive and Adaptive Social Protection: What COVID-19 Has Taught Us

This webinar defines shock-responsive and adaptive social protection and outlines the global impact of COVID-19 and the questions it poses for the current social protection approaches. Finally, the webinar offers guidance on how social protection systems, if made fundamentally adaptive, can respond to such shocks in the future.

2. Designing Shock-responsive and Adaptive Social Protection Systems (with lessons from the COVID-19 pandemic)
